Primarily driven demand of electronics applications and automobile spare parts & accessories that gives high expectation in the automotive markets, the CarTronics Taipei exhibition opened today at the Exhibition Hall 1 of Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC). Taiwan Mold and Die Industry Association (TMDIA), Taiwan Transportation Vehicle Manufacturers Association (TVMA), Taipei Computer Association (TCA), Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA) and Chan Chao International Co., Ltd. whom formed Taipei CarTronics Promotion Office (TCPO) and organized the CarTronics Taipei. The CarTronics Taipei exhibition, also known as Taipei International Car Electronics, Parts, and Equipments Show schedule to run from August 23~26, 2007. Moreover, the concurrent exhibitions together with CarTronics Taipei are the Molding & Equipment Show, Industrial Automation Show and Auto-ID & Logistic Show, which is the upstream and downstream manufacturers gather together in one place and exhibit collectively.

In the CarTronics Taipei exhibition, several foreign and local companies such as ST Microelectronics, National Instrument, Wind River and so forth. While the local companies dealing with automotive electronics led by E-Lead, Portwell, Axiomtek, Giantec, Kreton and many more. These exhibitors will display Automotive Electrical, Road Traffic Safety, Power Train, Traffic Information, Global Positioning System (GPS), Car Multimedia Entertainment, PC for Vehicle and other categories. These categories include semiconductor, Electronics Applications, Automobile Spare Parts, Verification & Safety Inspection/Approval using software & hardware applications such as Crash Simulation and 3D Drawings.

In addition, the organizers have invited Taiwan Automotive Research Consortium (TARC) to convey highlights regarding the new advanced automobile applications in involve structural safety, latest Electronics Developments and automobile spare parts in order to encourage local manufacturers to use its Information Technology (IT) strength in terms of applications, improvement on Safety Features, Recycle/Environmental Protection and Artificial Intellect Control integrate into the vehicle that will further assist human limitations, which are prone to error that reduce disastrous circumstances. Thus creating the fourth C (Car) to a limitless possibilities and opportunity in terms of Conservation of Energy, Security and Human Adaptation to be included in every future vehicle.

Taipei Cartronics Forum (TCF 2007)

During the CarTronics Taipei exhibition, the Taipei Cartronics Forum 2007 (TCF2007) begins on August 23rd and 24th at Conference Room 4, second floor of the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC). Three main topics including Automotive Semiconductor Solutions: Predicting Future Car Electronics Trends, To Enter the OE or AM market is a choice for Taiwan manufacturers to make, and Application and Business Opportunities of Automobile Information System. TCF’s purposes are to promote local hardware products made by manufacturers to enter international markets, the changes from conventional methods to sophisticate electronics applications and appliances/devices using computing technologies. Presently, the electronics plays integral parts in an automobile from mechanical gauges and switch into sophisticated electronics and now harnessing the computing powers.

In part of semiconductor and electronics applications, TCPO has invited top-notch players such as ST Microelectronics, Freescale, Wind River, Renesas and Denso to deliver all the latest and comprehensive information, reports and new emerging technologies.

Robust products and safety environment is also one of the toughest fields to apply on any vehicle. Several automobile enterprises such as ARTC, Yellow Hat and Beijing Cinsos are enlisted to discuss this topic. The topic covers After Market, Channels & Marketing and Strategic Sourcing for Automobile Parts particularly in China.

The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is becoming basic requirement for most Japanese cars. Expected to share this in depth knowledge are Nissan, Hitachi and local agencies lead by Ministry of Transportation and Communication (MOTC), Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center (IEK), Chunghwa Telecom and National Chiao Tung University. Nissan and Hitachi will touch on Japan ITS while IEK will sharing progress of Taiwan’s ITS.
