April 2 to 5,2007
The two shows will max out every inch of expo space at the TWTC (Taipei World Trade Center) Exhibition Hall 1 (1st & 2nd floors), Hall 2, Hall 3, as well as TICC (Taipei Int’l Convention Center). Just imagine this venue paving the way for motoring history with the hottest, broadest selection of auto products.
Massive industry growth underpins the secret behind the dazzling success of these shows with Taiwan’s total production value of automobiles & motorcycles last year reaching US$16.68 billion, up 4.6% over the previous year. Auto parts & motorcycle parts account for nearly half of the industry’s total production, a sector that helped the industry reach a production value of US$8.11 billion in 2005, according to Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Over the past decade, export value of Taiwan auto parts & motorcycle parts have grown steadily at an average growth rate of 8.8% to achieve an export value in 2005 of US$4.59 billion. Besides, Delphi Automotives System in Brazil (member of world’s second largest auto parts manufacturer) made its first contact with Taiwanese suppliers last year and purchased 20 items of auto parts. After that, Delphi returned to Taiwan for the second time in October this year to conduct further procurement meetings with Taiwanese suppliers.
Kirochhoff Automotive, German’s leading auto parts manufacturer, also conducted a procurement seminar recently in Taipei. And Saturn, under the GM Group from the U.S., is dispatching a representative to Taiwan to purchase GPS and other electronic products. All this underscores Taiwan’s important role as a global procurement supply hub for auto parts and automobile electronics.
Taipei AMPA 2007 presents such prospect-packed categories as Auto Parts & Accessories, Repair Service Tools & Equipment, Tires & Tubes, and much more. It’s here where buyers can get every facet of auto parts they are seeking and check out an amazing line-up of 900 exhibitors with over 2,600 booths. Big names such as TYC Brother Ind., Depo Auto Parts, Gordon Auto Body Parts, Mycarr Lighting Technology, and Macauto Ind. are all participating in this pageant on wheels. .
The first AutoTronics Taipei last April 2006 won resounding success after TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) teamed up with TEEMA (Taiwan Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers’ Association) for the premiere show that enhanced Taiwan’s competitiveness, progressed information and technology exchanges, and help boost business opportunities. That show, in its trial year fielded 140 exhibitors who used 300 booths to show their best to 20,000 visitors from both home and abroad.
AutoTronics Taipei 2007 builds upon this success by fielding a vast profile that includes Telematics/Drive Information systems, Auto Body Electrical Systems, Auto Security & Security Systems, Engine Management & Power Train Systems, Brake Control Systems, Suspension Systems, Automobile Electronic Products, and Automobile Electronic Components & Parts. Altogether, there will be more than 150 exhibitors attending the show. This all star line-up will see such leading companies as STMicroelectronics, E-Lead Electronic, Everlight electronics, Tung Thih Ent., Taiwan Calsonic, Hamg Shing Technology, Mobiletron Electronics, Lite-On Automotive, and Aerospace Ind. Development Corp.
The duo-shows will be enhanced by a series of interactive activities including “The 3rd Taipei Int’l Automotive Electronics Forum”, Industry Seminars, Procurement Seminars, One-on-one Procurement Meetings, New Products Launches, and the Taiwan Night Gala Evening that brings with it a spectacular platform for suppliers and buyers alike.
Overseas buyers have been very upbeat about how TAITRA has mobilized its 44 overseas branch offices to aggressively recruit overseas exhibitors. That effort has attracted such leading companies as Daimler Chrysler, BMW, Volkswagen, Magna, Delphi, TATA Motor, Saipa Automobile, Ford, Alpine, FIAT, Denso, Fujitsu, Omron, Siemens, Johnson Control, Robert Bosch, Diavia, Inter Cars, Halfords, Herimarc, Futuris, JC Auto, and Wal-Mart. All these firms sent representatives to view the latest technology and products of the two shows and have vowed to return next April 2-5, 2007.
To attract even more buyers, TAITRA is offering buyers and professionals a vast number of free services including airport and hotel shuttle bus services. At the show, there’s a free Buyers’ Lounge that is packed with services to help buyers source trade partners at AMPA, use FREE internet access, pray in the Islamic worship room, and even use interpreters for English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish speakers.
Moreover, for Easter Holiday after the show, the organizer has arranged several different tour routes for buyers to choose from that will let buyers escape the stress of Taipei City with soothing doses of culture and scenery.
