Five Year’s Development and Brilliant Achievements
China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition started in 2003. Based on the positioning of "High Quality, Internationalization and Comprehensiveness", it has become one of the China's largest international automobile exhibitions after five years' development.
The exhibition area of the 5th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition hit a historic height, reaching 100,000㎡, among which complete cars zone covered 80,000㎡ and auto parts and accessories zone covered 20,000㎡. The number of exhibitors was 391, among which complete car makers were 62 and auto parts and accessories producers were 329. Four hundred ninety-eight (498) vehicles were shown at the exhibition, including 30 concept cars.

Core superiorities of the show – relying on amazing domestic auto industrial development and strong developing auto consumption
In recent years, China's auto industry has made outstanding achievements in the world. Since 2006 when China became the second largest auto market of the world, China's auto industry underwent a leap development in 2007, auto output in 2007 was 8,880,000 vehicles, increased by 21.98% over the previous year; and sales amount reached 8,790,000 vehicles, up by 21.8% over the previous year. Moreover, today, the average car ownership per thousand persons is less than 30 in China, so it lags far behind the average car ownership of 120 cars per thousand in the world. All those present a huge development potential on China's auto market. It could be predicted that China's auto industry would maintain a fast growing trend in the coming 20 years.

As a host auto exhibition site located at the China's most economically developed region, it enjoys two unique superiorities – auto making center and auto consumer center in South China region.

Auto Making – Guangzhou, China's auto Detroit
Guangzhou is the only city in China to own 3 complete car projects of the 3 world-class Japanese automakers.

In 2006, Guangzhou's sedan output volume reached 500,000, ranking second in China; and above scaled automakers completed an output value of 116.223 billion yuan.

"3-system and 4-group" for Guangzhou's auto parts producing enterprises have taken shape, thus providing complete industrial chain support for complete car production.

Carry forward the cause – planning of the 6th Guangzhou Automobile Exhibition
The 6th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition will be held on 19 - 25 November 2008 (The exhibition period of the auto parts and accessories will be 19 - 23 November, 2008).

With "Hi-tech Promise Future" as the theme and adhering to the positioning of "High Quality, Internationalization and Comprehensiveness", we shall continue to improve professional quality of each exhibition. The planned scale is 110,000㎡, dividing into 4 exhibition zones - passenger cars zone, commercial vehicles zone, auto parts and accessories zone.
